Friday February 23, 2024, as part of the Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) championship, counting for the qualifiers for the Chile 2025 World Cup, our Grenadiers U-20 faced on the lawn of the "SKNFA Technical Center" in Basseterre (Saint Kitts and Nevis) the Cayman Islands team

Starting XI :

To face the Caymanians, Haitian-Canadian coach Angelo Jean-Baptiste communicated his starting 11 :

Good start for our Grenadier U-20s who won against the Cayman Islands [4-1] in a perfectly controlled match but whose opponents caused them numerous difficulties in the finishing zone.

Schneïlorens Lebrun opened the scoring for Haiti in the 12th minute [1-0]. Unfortunately after this opening our Grenadiers did not manage to score, missing several opportunities, notably in the 30' and 42'.

Upon returning from the locker room the Caymanians tried to push back our Grenadiers.

Coach Angelo Jean-Baptiste in the 55' replaced Clifford Louis Jean and brought in Bryan Destin who 1 minute later doubled the score for Haiti in the 56' [2-0].

Joshwa Campbell reduces the gap for the Cayman Islands to 61' [2-1] and gives hope for the Caymanians

Bryan, very leggy, scored his double at 80' [3-1] and his hat-trick from the penalty spot at 90'+5 [4-1].

After this first victory, and 3 points for our Grenadiers while waiting for the next two matches on February 25 against the "Sugar Boyz" of St Kitts & Nevis [who were beaten by Puerto Rico 5-0] and on February 27 the Grenadiers will face the “Coqui Warriors” of Puerto Rico.
